WHAT IS IT? |
Baptism is a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ. It’s an “outward expression of an inward change.” Through this ancient ritual, a believer in Jesus publicly declares that they have made the decision to follow Him. This is a time to celebrate!
BAPTISM IS ABOUT OBEDIENCE
Baptism is the first step of obedience once a person invites Jesus Christ to be his/her Forgiver & Leader.
BAPTISM IS A SYMBOL OF SALVATION
Much like a wedding ring is the symbol of one’s marriage commitment, baptism is a symbol of God’s promise to forgive us and wash away our sin.
BAPTISM IS A PICTURE OF NEW LIFE
Baptism illustrates my old life being buried, and my new life being raised to live for Christ.
WHY DO IT?
- Jesus Christ Himself was baptized and we are called to follow His example. (Mark 1:9)
- Jesus Christ commands every new believer to be baptized. (Matthew 28:19-20)
- Baptism demonstrates that you really are an obedient follower of Christ. (Mark 16:16)
- It’s a physical demonstration of the spiritual commitment you’ve made to follow Jesus.
- Baptism is “going public” with your faith in Jesus Christ as your Forgiver & Leader!

According to the Bible, all of heaven throws a big block party whenever “one sinner turns to follow Jesus.” A Baptism Party is our way of celebrating with all of heaven those who’ve decided to follow Jesus and be baptized!

WHEN SHOULD I BE BAPTIZED?
As soon as you become a believer your next step is baptism. Don’t put it off.
CAN MY FAMILY BE BAPTIZED TOGETHER?
Yes, as long as each family member has decided to follow Jesus Christ
WILL I HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING?
No, but we may have you write a short statement of how you came to faith in Christ or make a video with your story of life change.
