Membership
WHAT IS IT?
Membership is all about “choosing to belong.” Becoming a member of The Dialogue Church is a step of spiritual growth. Membership says,
- I desire to become a radically devoted follower of Jesus Christ as demonstrated in my personal decision to accept Christ and follow Him in baptism.
- I commit to supporting the vision and ministries of this local church by volunteering on a ministry team, giving financially, and inviting my unchurched friends to the weekend experience.
- I will hold myself accountable to the appointed leadership of this church in order to grow my faith and grow His church.
WHY BECOME A MEMBER?
As followers of Jesus we must grow not only in our commitment to Jesus Christ but also in our commitment to His Church. Without a clear and strong commitment to a church family, via local church membership, we are like spiritual orphans. Church membership is about loving one another in the same way that Jesus has loved us!
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
In order to become a member at The Dialogue Church there a four pre-requisites:
- Invite Jesus Christ to be your Forgiver & Leader.
- Follow Jesus in the step of baptism.
- Attend the Membership Class.
- Sign the Membership Covenant.
If you love the weekend experience and you have been attending for at least 2 months then you can sign up for The DC Membership Class. The DC Membership Class is not only a pre-requisite for membership but it is also an introduction to Jesus and the vision of The Dialogue Church. During this one-time class we lay out the vision and mission of our church and what it means to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ!
