What to Expect
Every Sunday at The DC you can expect:
1. CONVENIENT PARKING
As you enter Lowell Street you will notice DC Signs pointing you toward our Parking Lot (all parking is FREE on Sundays, both on the street and in our Lot across the street). Once you park, head inside and go to the 2nd Floor. We are located just above Gaucho’s Restaurant & Cafe. Greeters will be at every point of entrance ready to help you with any questions or concerns. For directions click here.
2. A SAFE & EXCITING ENVIRONMENT FOR KIDS
If you have children, you are invited to bring them into our DC KIDS Ministry (Infants-5th Grade). We have child care and children’s programming provided every Sunday during our adult worship experience. With a state-of-the-art Check-In System and quality pagers for parental communication there is no need to worry about your little one while visiting The DC. During the Check-In process appropriate health information will be collected in order to ensure your child’s safety and enjoyment. Your children are of utmost priority to us and we take every measure possible to ensure their fun, spiritual growth, and security. If you prefer to keep your children with you during your 1st visit then please feel free to do so. We want this to be an enjoyable experience for the whole family!
3. AN UNFORGETTABLE SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE
As you enter our Worship Space (the room for adults) you will be greeted with smiles and the aroma of hot coffee, tea, and Hot Chocolate. There is no need to dress up here, we prefer a more casual attire. Through a combination of today’s music, down-to-earth teaching, and creative visual effects the life-changing message of the Bible is brought to life. Our goal is not for people to simply download more religious information but to have a spiritual encounter with the God of the Bible. If you are new to church then our goal is to make things as comfortable and easy to understand as possible; if you have been following Jesus for quite some time then our goal is to challenge you in your commitment to follow God. TheDC Worship Experience typically lasts for about 70 minutes (this includes 30 minutes of music, poetry, and video, and about 40 minutes of teaching). If you want to test drive a sermon try listening online by visiting the MEDIA PLACE.
4. A VARIETY OF PEOPLE
Sundays at The DC are made up of skeptics, new believers, and those who are already on the journey with Jesus. Every week we have people visiting The Dialogue Church for the 1st time. It doesn’t matter if you have never read the Bible or have never gone to church, our goal is for you to feel welcomed and accepted (with no strings attached)! At no point will we attempt to single out our guests or make them feel uncomfortable, but we do encourage everyone to fill out a Connection Card letting us know about their visit (during the worship time there will be a brief pause to allow everyone to fill out a Connection Card; to show our appreciation to 1st time guests we give a free gift to all those who turn in a Connection Card). If you have any questions during your visit please stop by Guest Services (the big table in the foyer with a sign that says, “Guest Services”) or ask a Host Team Member (they will be wearing a DC Name Tag).
5. AN EMPHASIS ON JESUS
One thing that we hope you will take away from your weekend experience here at The DC is a strong emphasis on Jesus. Our main aim every Sunday is to lift up Jesus as the sole Forgiver and Leader of our lives. Many of our guests don’t yet believe in Jesus so we work hard to explain in today’s terminology everything we teach from the Bible. At the end of every sermon the Pastor will give everyone an opportunity to take a step of faith by praying on their own and then marking that step on their Connection Card. We believe that Jesus is already nudging you to come to God, and we simply want to partner in that process!
